Yep. I provide a service, ensuring that people have heat and cooling, and their electrical and plumbing needs met. In return, I get weak money which is automatically converted to hard money when it hits my account.
I give value, I get value. The unit my employer pays out in doesn't bother me.
I love this, I'm also terrified that people will use it for single-sig wallets and keep it accessible as they are using it for many uses in their life.
#MultisigStandard
I gave up holding fiat nearly 3 years ago now, you guys just made it 10x easier.
It's all good! Happens to the best of us!
Was listening to nostr:nprofile1qqsrzdvn05glqhr6uqjf86v9qk5xrat342vrfh50w7n5r7axzldmk7qpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue03837kq's appearance on nostr:nprofile1qqs8spcgqfgzxkcnerak0t40xs8jfsecgkeywrnam3lvp4qvqp5zv3gpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0ykzxyr this morning.
When 5% of my stack pays my annual expenses, I would definitely consider quitting the fiat mines and working at one of your locations if one were to open near me.
Nope. I am definitely still in the fiat mines. I might leverage part of my stack eventually to start my own thing and be my own boss, but I don't mind the chill life on a Bitcoin standard.
Bitcoin has given me the freedom to give myself the space and time to explore my interests. Sure I could make more money, but I'm content at present.
Idk about cool. Just adding value where I can and retaining my profits in the hardest money there is.
With some gentle Bitcoin evangelizing along the way.
2 years ago, my house was worth 10 bitcoin, by next spring I will be surprised if it is worth even 1...
There's a reason I'm extremely short housing.
Fiat auto-converts to sats into my strike account, and Bitcoin auto-converts to fiat when bills are due.
The simplicity is beautiful.
In my case, I just rerouted my direct deposits there and skim off the excess with their no-fee on-chain withdrawals.
But if you have no fiat income, you could always just transfer a balance there to have your bill payments draw from.
That's nostr for you. Asked for a Christmas hat avatar and they gave me this.
Maybe I'll write an article about it someday, could be valuable to people trying to emulate the strategy in the future.
"Play Fiat Games, Win Bitcoin Prizes"
It's been well worth it, but I do tire of playing the fiat games...
I've spent way more time than I would have liked planning out the depreciation of my credit score over time, viewing it as a finite asset that can be drawn down to aid in acquiring a greater share of pure digital scarcity.
I keep closer tabs on the fiat price than I'd like, but this is primarily due to the fact that I leveraged fiat debt during the bear market to stack harder.
Looking forward to being debt free in the next 10-12 months and not having to care about the price.
