Yesterday we got our railroad ties in place and leveled to move this little chicken coop from the top of the hill down to where we can repurpose it for a tack room. Leveling things (especially giant heavy things) is one of the most tedious parts of construction. I am probably a bit more proud of ourselves than I ought to be. ☺️

The tree guys finally got out here and cut up all of the trees that blew over this summer in storms. I feel secure that we will stay warm this winter and into a good chunk of next winter. 🧣🔥⛄

We went for a walk in our woods yesterday. The tops of the ridges are still pretty. Also we saw this really cool hornets nest.

Ok, I lied. One more. I made my outside cat a house. I was painting it with the intention of just some random decor, but then it accidentally started to look like a creepy cat clown face, so I went with it. So far, he doesn't want anything to do with it. But then again it has been 80 during the day. He may change his mind Sunday night when it gets down to the 20's. Brrrr!!!

I had never heard of it until you posted and had to go look it up. It sounds really intriguing! Please let us know how it works!

Here is a small one from last year. You peel them, clean off all the goo and get out as many seeds as you can. Then you dry them. I use them to scrub dishes, sinks, tubs, humans, etc... They last FOREVER! Supposably you can eat them like zucchinis when they are really small. I tried them once and they were super bitter, so I haven't tried again.
