A Musk vs. Zuck cage match has to be peak bread and circuses, right? 
In 1944, the Bretton Woods agreement pegged all currencies to the dollar, which in turn was pegged to gold.
In 1971, Nixon suspended the dollar’s peg to gold.
We now have a system in which debasing currencies are pegged to a debasing currency.
Where is the accountability?

In 1971, the US chose to back the dollar with nothing more than the full faith and credit of the US government. They then obliterated this faith and credit by weaponizing and debasing that dollar.
The dollar is now backed by nothing. The world will find the alternative.
