You can't. It would create a change output back to your wallet. But if your invoice is 500k and you have a 500k utxo then there's 1 less utxo created.
Transacting full utxos to avoid change output is a very respectable way to use the network.
Using Bitcoin as a unit of account is good hygiene for the network.
