what makes you think 21M * 10^8 sats are not enough for all people? Add another 10^3 fraction for lightning msats. This is the only "technical" limitation of bitcoin when it comes to spreading it to everyone. It's not bitcoin fault that majority of people *still* don't want to stack satoshis despite pitching it for the past, what 15 years?

just had a coffee and a chocolate crostata at Katja caffee ☕🍪 https://btcmap.org/merchant/node:12466338583

Paid with lightning ⚡Keep it up!

during lunch today, nostr:npub1jrcfyw8n298jf83txvlxzx0w7jtfwqs0j4ha0dnn9ns33hgm209sqejdcc and i were discussing prices and inflation (as one does). the price of eggs are fucking wild. $8.98 for 18 eggs? 2 years ago we were paying $2.52 for 18 eggs. before Trump was elected we were paying $3.56 for 18 eggs. wild. #thanksTrump

(and also thanks Walmart order history!)

jesus what kind of 18 eggs did you get for $2.52? Plastic?!

it's not that easy.. you still need a coop, feed them regularly, take the eggs, close the door every evening, open in the morning. The latter I automated with raspberry PI and some actuators https://github.com/matevz/chickencoop

what's with the meme? Fact is Zelensky and the people of UA have steel balls regardless of what Trumptard says.

why would it benefit few? Anyone can buy it - similar to gold, but more practical. The fiat system on the other hand benefits few because of the Cantillon effect.

Boom goes the Uranium! Energy abundance is about to pick up steam... pun intended.

"The National Energy Dominance Council will advise on how the USA can produce more energy - with a remit that includes advising the president on the reopening of closed power plants, and bringing small modular reactors online.

According to an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on 14 February, the Council, which is to be chaired by Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum with Secretary of Energy Chris Wright serving as its vice-chair, will, among other things, advise the president on "how best to exercise his authority to produce more energy to make America energy dominant …improving the processes for permitting, production, generation, distribution, regulation, transportation, and export of all forms of American energy, including critical minerals … provide to the President a recommended National Energy Dominance Strategy to produce more energy".

The council's members will also include some fifteen high-level representatives including the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Defense, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Commerce and the Secretary of Transportation. It will also include "the heads of such other executive departments and agencies (agencies) as the President may, from time to time, designate".

Its remit also includes "facilitating the reopening of closed power plants; and bringing Small Modular Nuclear Reactors online."

bitcoin mining! 😎

acinq often closes channels, if they need on-chain btc. Also happens in other wallets, if you open channels to acinq.

huh? Where exactly can't you speak freely in the EU? Sure, you'll get fined, if you insult anyone. But you won't end up in jail or sth.

⚡️👤 A new theory claims that Jack Dorsey (nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgstw3r3l) is Satoshi Nakamoto.

This theory highlights his background in cryptography, his timestamp habits, and the surprising connections between the launch date of BTC and his personal life.

Here are some troubling arguments presented:

🔹 Jack Dorsey was one of ~1,300 confirmed cypherpunks in 1996 (his UMR email).

🔹 He wore an Adam Back t-shirt in the UMR directory.

🔹 UMR students were called "Miners."

🔹 He graduated in computer science and mathematics and had an interest in cryptography.

🔹 He was already on the cypherpunk mailing list in 2000 under his dnet.com email.

🔹 He wrote a manifesto about leaving a mark without leaving a trace in 2001.

🔹 He subscribed to cryptome.org in 2001.

🔹 He wrote a blog post joking that he was working on a network for drug traffickers.

🔹 He published a biography in 2003 stating his interest in cryptocurrencies, pseudonyms, and hacking at 4 AM, among other things.

🔹 In 2003, he announced he was ending his dependence on the US dollar and creating a barter network.

🔹 The documents of the original Bitcoin source code are all timestamped as having been created exactly at 4 AM, just like Jack’s bio.

🔹 The first Bitcoin transaction occurred on Jack's mother's birthday (1/11/09).

🔹 Satoshi joined the Bitcoin forum on Jack's birthday (11/19).

🔹 The last block mined by Satoshi occurred on Jack's father's birthday (5/3/10).

🔹 Jack's best friend, Alyssa Milano, wrote a novel (Hacktivist) in the summer of 2013 about Jack, portraying him living a double life behind a famous pseudonym.

🔹 Satoshi's gmx email was hacked on 08/09/14, and the hacker attempted to extort Satoshi by claiming he knew his connection to St. Louis, Missouri. Jack is from St. Louis.

🔹 Square published a children's book in January 2018 explaining the 'Legend of Satoshi Nakamoto,' where the character Satoshi resembles Jack.

🔹 On 04/20/20, Lex Fridman asked Jack if he was Satoshi, to which Jack replied that he wouldn’t confess even if he were. This contrasts with Nick Szabo, Adam Back, and Hal Finney, who all explicitly state they are not Satoshi.

🔹 On 10/27/23, Jack stated at a conference that 'Bitcoin and Satoshi in 2009 were a combination of my childhood, curiosity, and everything I aspired to and loved.'

🔹 On 07/21/24, Jack wrote on Nostr: 'I often imagine Satoshi sitting somewhere laughing at all of this.'

🔹 On 08/28/24, Jack went on Nostr and thanked Hal Finney (now deceased) for his help."

seriously, does it matter?
