Ey nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 as promised, here is a first POC for the new Tor engine library 😄 https://github.com/ZeusLN/zeus/pull/2268
No! Do not invite people to decrease their privacy levels please... If nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 users connect their node over Tor they first need to understand the limitations and of course do the proper documetation reading. But IMHO Zeus needs a revision in its Tor integration. The fail attemps are big, which force me to use a 3rd app (InviZible VPN) for a good experience.
nostr:npub1v3tgrwwsv7c6xckyhm5dmluc05jxd4yeqhpxew87chn0kua0tjzqc6yvjh has a very well known reputation and good solution for Tor integrations, he has done fantastic job at #Robosats and #Bluewallet recently. Perhaps he could help!
Indeed.
I know nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 did a great job with the Tor library they are using, but it was the same used by #Robosats and #Bluwallet, and I'm aware of some connection problems this library has.
We have been testing with extremely great results an alternathve in #Robosats for the past 3 months for Android and we are workig on making it work for iOS to include it on #Bluwallet.
It was part of my master plan to knock at nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 door after that 😁 if you are curious right now, I can start sharing great stuff with you!
Yep a phone number is required, you can't move forward, plus they have Tor and VPN IPs banned 😕
So far they ask to the user to use Orbot. I'm implementing and testing this one for them https://github.com/05nelsonm/kmp-tor/tree/master
It's the same I implemented for Robosats and it works terribly good, at least in Android, you can download the latest version and check it out.
BUT I didn't test websockets (yet it provides the feature)
The Tor engine for BlueWallet works and performs as good as in Robosats, but still has to be tested in iOS/OSx to be acceptable, plus I have to heavy test a connection to electrs. In short, lots of work to do but it looks promising 🚀

This looks promising 🙂

Actually, in the Satstralia coordinator we move up to 5M sats with no issues but, for sure, in order to receive it in LN you want to have a good inbound liquidity
Great progress integrating Coordinator ratings in Robosats over nostr 🙂 I think soon we'll have something to test
The new Robosats Android App compatible with the federation is open for beta testing, give it a try! We think it's the best way to use Robosats!

Subscribo todo. Simplificando un poco, como lo veo yo:
Has anyone here tried Mintter? https://mintter.com/ Looks very interesting. I love that publications are immutable, versioned, relatively easy to host and can be collaborative. Monetization via Lightning is first class too. It even supports embedding nostr events with a recent patch from nostr:npub1v3tgrwwsv7c6xckyhm5dmluc05jxd4yeqhpxew87chn0kua0tjzqc6yvjh
It's really cool, you can say it's the opposite to nostr in so many aspects that they are the perfect match to each other 😀
There was a plan to put together these 2 technologies, my initial patch was just a first POC, but the devs were really reticent to move people out of Mintter to Nostr so it cooled down.
I hope at some point they become more open because I really believe it will be a huge push for both.

Anyone can become a coordinator 😁 So far we are experimenting with 2 levels of "trust"
1. PoW: actually have up and running the entire coordinator ecosystem, not easy, not hard. But requires knowledge and (sometines) perseverance
2. Time running: initially new coordinators are not allowed to create orders of any size, but it's limited to certain max quantity of sats which, doubles every 2 weeks since the coordinator joined (based on the block high 😁) you need to have a coordinator working for 6 months to be able to create orders of any size.
So far Robosats was a centralized server with a single LND node. The federation layer allows anyone to run this same software and be part of the federation as a coordinator, where an user can enter and see all offers created in every single coordinator in the same page. More info here https://learn.robosats.com/robosats/update/pre-release-robosats-decentralized/
Robosat's federation layer is officially out! 🚀 We invest a lot of work and love on this one 😃 https://github.com/RoboSats/robosats/releases/tag/v0.6.0-alpha

#introductions
First time I heard about #Nostr I think it was about 1 yr ago on a nostr:npub1yn3hc8jmpj963h0zw49ullrrkkefn7qxf78mj29u7v2mn3yktuasx3mzt0 podcast with nostr:npub1qqqqqqqx2tj99mng5qgc07cgezv5jm95dj636x4qsq7svwkwmwnse3rfkq, nostr:npub1v3tgrwwsv7c6xckyhm5dmluc05jxd4yeqhpxew87chn0kua0tjzqc6yvjh, nostr:npub1qqqqqqyz0la2jjl752yv8h7wgs3v098mh9nztd4nr6gynaef6uqqt0n47m and nostr:npub107jk7htfv243u0x5ynn43scq9wrxtaasmrwwa8lfu2ydwag6cx2quqncxg but I did not pay too much attention.
FIRST ATTEMPT
Months later Luna recorded a new podcast with nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft then I installed Damus, spent a couple of hours, got zero engagement because I was silent and didn't knew what to do and the X or telegram users I was looking for, well, they only had like a couple of notes, kinda hello world and they left soon.
SECOND APPROACH
A few weeks ago I switched from ios to #grapheneOS and told myself OK let's try again anciano (means old man in spanish, that's how my daughter and teenager son call me) This time I installed #Amethyst, broke my silence, forgot my rush, started following dozens of active users, found some useful hashtags, liked notes, sent and received some little #zaps and then I just got trapped here.
CONCLUSION
If you're new to this Nostr deep rabbit hole (just like me just a few weeks ago) don't be lazy, keep in mind there's no algo, be patient and open minded, write notes, like and repost notes, use hashtags, zap ppl and enjoy the community sweet ambience and freedom speech.
