Huh. Never thought of it as cutting rates 10%. Is there real connection there or did you sort of spitball the conclusion? Genuinely curiou

Rand0: ciao Bella, i'm not poor

Bella: ohh uncle rand0 šŸ’•

nostr:npub1yrf6e774ggeylt7e7s784jv9ydawv5c4z5zj4arvvs04q7lkulvqdgkaz3 I'm really annoyed. I'm trying to find a circa 2021 Uncle Rand0 meme "show me the hoefax" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Maybe. But maybe it's like AI and nuclear weapons. If you don't get them, someone else will. And the worse thing than having a sociopath in charge is facing off against a tribe who has a sociopath and you don't.

I got to thinking about this when I read something about autists. It said they are useful in war situations because they think outside the box. Or your example of mania or hypomania. For example, there's a book (can't recall its name) saying how useful hypomania is to business success.

Maybe these awful psych conditions are useful at a meta level to the survival of the herd. Like gut flora. They really cause problems when they overrun their useful % relative to NPCs.

That's clever. I've considered MSTR to create a LOC to do the same thing, use MSTR-backed LOC as an emergency fund of sorts. Seems like a good idea. But you'd want like 3-5x overcollateralization due to volatility.

If you didn't want to self custody, you'd probably want 5-10% MSTR AT THE MOST and rest in FBTC. I like that Fidelity self custodies. You could do less than that in MSTR, as uncle rand0 said, because of operational and leverage risk. But it also has a chance to outperform ₿.

If you wanted to quantify that, you'd want to figure out the risk of bankruptcy and figure out the outperformance and create a model to optimize the ideal % using a model like Kelly Criteria

For example, I ran the Kelly criteria assuming 5% MSTR outperformance and 2% bankruptcy risk and got an optimal allocation of 58%.

But that's kind of a GIGO problem. Who knows outperformance and bankruptcy risk. I think the smarter thing would be to maximize income to buy more bitcoin rather than try to outperform btc. FWIW I own 1-2% MSTR for shits and giggles

Agree re soccer. I also like the new CFB rules where they have to start going for two. I like CFB > NFL overtime in general.

Also, I find ties distasteful. Just flip a coin if you have to. Someone needs to have won.

I will say I do like English soccer where the loser has to go to a lower league and good teams can advance. That appeals to me. Flush the turds, promote the people who try hard. Oddly American, something we don't have in any leagues college or pro
