I've seen people ask what the value proposition is for paid relays. Here's mine.
I started and run this relay because I wanted a relay that ensured free expression of thought and was not inundated with spam. It is a paid relay to keep out the lowest effort spammers with proof of sats. I set a fee of 421 sats for meme reasons as a hat tip to a couple recognizable numbers. One quality meme or post should give you enough zaps for entry.
Spams and scams will get you banned. Shitcoins are scams. Bitcoin is the way. Don't be a dick.
A relay for one is as useless as one telephone, so I hope others like-minded join and I will do my best to steward your notes and other things. The relay runs on a dedicated 8 core 16gb setup that I will expand as needed. For now, it's overkill for the ~1k people that have access.

Try relay.nostriches.org I'll pay the invoice if you post it here. Zero ips blocked, but I don't think most others do either. I think some vpns or connections are firing up firewall or other blocks. It's something I've been exploring as I noticed my own relay not always being reachable depending on my vpn situation.
