Alaskan. Electrical enginerd. Hunter, fisherman, gardener. Ham radio operator.

I don't know which bartenders still need to hear this, but if I walk into your bar wearing a Miller High Life baseball cap, I don't need to see the drink menu. Just bring me a high life and don't give me that "we have to ID everyone" BS.

Because, some nights, a couple Jack and cokes is the only thing that will quiet the echos of regret.

They said that like it was a bad thing.

I found this commercial fishing float washed up on the beach in Alaska. Is the writing Japanese? Can someone please translate?

GM!

We had our first frost last night. It is time to prepare for winter.

Larry Bartlett's DVD "Project Bloodtrail: Field Care of Alaska Big Game" does a good job explaining field dressing, breaking a moose down into pieces you can carry and meat care. It's geared towards float hunters who might be in the field with meat for a week or two. It doesn't really cover the butchering you'll do once you get the quarters home.

It's basically like butchering a deer just bigger. I have done two. I am real careful with the back straps, inner loins, and brisket. Everything else just gets get into a 2lb roast or burger.

Are you an old man that drives a pickup truck? Do you struggle to get things that slide to the front of the bed? Then try HookStick™. It's hook. It's stick. It's so much more. Supplies are limited, call now.

I scored this baby off Facebook for free 99! It was an estate clean out. The lady didn't know what it was and didn't care, just wanted it out of the driveway. Now I need to go get stuck on the beach, so I can test it out.

It is broccoli picking day!

Looks like they shorted you by at least foot. Send them back.
