People so wrapped up in "no restrictions on field of use" for OpenSource are stuck in the same logic as people who say Nazis and racists should be able to say whatever they want in public.

Hyperscalers parasitizing and monopolizing revenue of FOSS projects is NOT OK.

Sure sure, I know, FOSS is not a business model. Keep ignoring the problem and we will end up with much less #FOSS

If you were going to pave a box and put Linux on it, which distro would you choose? Try to answer NOT from a place of what you're most comfortable with.

I am leaning towards #Fedora because I work with containers and it's a very friendly and kind community. I am tempted by #archlinux after experiencing a constrained version on my #steamdeck.

Using #ubuntu on my work laptop and it just feels bleh. Nothing particularly wrong just nothing to inspire my use.
