As far as we can tell OPA could not exist on Nostr mostly due to the DM-only messaging system we operate.
Also since we're a members-only platform, there could be only one relay (ours) allowed on our client, which defeats the entire purpose of nostr.
You can be as anon as you like, we don't verify anything.
Nostr is how you find cool people online, OPA is how you meet them offline.
Very different (complimentary) use cases.
Well, we don't have a feed, nor hashtags. If you want to look up bitcoin events without the geolocation you can already do so in meetup or eventbrite, maybe twitter too?
Our goal is to make local discovery of plebs, events and soon merchants as seamless as possible and that requires leveraging the device APPROX geolocation.
