Hereās how Iād run a 50,000,000 sat nostr marketing campaignā¦
Coming from someone doing +$10M monthly client revenue on TikTok.
Letās break it down.
For example sake, letās say weāre running a campaign for nostr:npub14am887cf6kvwkce89nt7dsw3v9qrrn0uppxyvr6a2jd7xdwuwccqwnudp2 ās brand, Heart & Soil (with a 0.5 btc budget)
Step 1:
First weāre going to identify 100 relevant nostr creators and negotiate terms of posting.
Letās say 100 creators at 300,000 sats per note each.
Weāll spread out the posting times over the course of a monthā¦ about 3 per day.
Nothing groundbreaking so farā¦ but hereās where things become a bit different than your typical social media campaignā¦
Instead of paying creators offline, Heart & Soil would zap 300,000 to each creator - publicly visible on their note.
This does 2 things:
1ļøā£ Increase visibility on that note (more zaps = more traction)
2ļøā£ Increase positive sentiment of the brand (i.e. āthis brand supports nostr creatorsā)
If you see a note about a brand, then that brand zapping 300,000 sats, this will get your attention.
Step 2:
Top of funnel š
Weāre going to allocate 10,000,000 sats to ābulk zappingā
The plan is to send 21 sats to nearly 500,000 notes over the course of a month.
Iād probably attach a message like āEat your organsā or something like that to each.
The goal here is to drive eyeballs and awareness to the account.
Step 3:
Profile and bio set up.
Think of this like a funnel.
Weāre going to be getting tons of eyeballs to the accountā¦
Now, what we do with that attention is key.
First thing, letās repost all of the creator notes to get social proof on the account.
Secondly, letās get our bio set up.
It should say something like this:
āThe most nutrient rich supplements on the planet. Goal of sending 10,000,000 sats (currently at 1,342,091). Tag us and weāll zap you! Use code NOSTR for 10% off.ā
The goal is to turn buyers into creators and set the precedent that Heart & Soil zaps all creators.
Iāve noticed that there is a ritualistic posting style on Nostr - the good morning notes, coffeechain etc.
We want to get this style of note going for Heart and Soil.
Allocate 10,000,000 sats to just zapping customers that post the product on nostr.
What do we think - would this work? Would brand campaigns be a complete flop on nostr? What would you do differently?
Brilliant. This has really got me thinking about Bitcoin and Nostr's implications on marketing.
Essentially you could spend your marketing budget on your customers and top creators with no middle man.
The creator economy will really take off once most creators are orange-pilled and purple-pilled.
Smart retail brands will experiment here and reinvent themselves completely.
