#nostr reminds me the early internet days.
just a bunch of people sharing knowledge and building cool stuff.
I don't care about mainstream adoption. It People who understand the value proposition of nostr will find it organically.
Had X for a while as a way to follow some people in tech.
Never again. soon my feed was transforned into an amercican politics cesspool.
Idea: A reviews app on Nostr. A decentralized and censorship resistant alternative to Trip Advisor, Google Reviews, Glassdoor. basically anything can can be reviewed ( products, places, companies, movies, books,...)
Could be a new NIP.
I guess WOT and paid relays could help against fake reviews.

Raindrop. or Karakeep as self hosted solution.
if 0.1% of the world population contributed 50$/month to open source projects, that would result in close to 5 billion $ yearly.
Imagine what could be built with that!!
It's eye opening to see the numbers like that and shows how much impact individuals can have.
just read a thread on a big subreddit about this topic. People asking for alternatives, mentioning Mastodon. zero mentions to Nostr.
we are so early!
I have been seeing a growing number of threads in reddit of people asking for alternatives to twitter and co, but no one ever mentions nostr. we are so early.
I am always amazed with all the kinds of apps you can build with such a "simple" protocol like #nostr

Getting more active around here after your post on #reddit.
I am really impressed to see all the stuff that can be built with a "simple" protocol like nostr.
I wish #github would add support for crypto payments with Lightning network.
Imagine, like you can star a repo that you found useful or upvote some issue, you could zap some sats as well.
I cannot sponsor all the repos I like, but would definitely be sending some sats when finding something useful.
Repos, issues, PRs, Relases, discussions. everything you can do some kind of reaction, you could zap some sats. It would be awesome.
Hello fellow gophers!
I am new to Nostr. trying to find good people to follow.
