Very kind of you to indulge me. Carry on.
Depending on the type of music you make, I'd either go with Reaper or Bitwig (or both!), tbh.
Reaper for traditional instrument recording

Bitwig for electronic / Ableton type stuff
Granted, it's been years since I've used Ardour. But reaper and Bitwig are cross platform and have dedicated companies that work on them.
Ty for the heads up. I will try Reaper if Ardour proves unstable or incapable of meeting my needs.
1 day at a time.
I've been using FL Studio for years and years. Too bad they don't have a Linux release. π€·ββοΈ
I am open to collab. I play several instruments, some I even play well.
I don't know exactly how to share files, etc. so I will follow your lead if you're interested.
What kind of music are you making? I'm open to all styles.
Here's an example of something I created in the past (I am pretty eclectic though, so please don't assume this defines me): https://video.nostr.build/c00bb1a09435a76fb7c5b47a7d1c73fff29a2c72d628170799664f591c811234.mp4
I just installed Linux Mint. π₯
Unfortunately, my computer doesn't meet the specs for a Windows 11 upgrade (I've been running Windows 10 for years and years).
Anyway, Linux Mint is a very clean OS. π Learning some terminal commands now. π΅βπ«
I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. My biggest concern is learning a new DAW for recording music.
Anyone using Ardour?
Practice makes perfect. https://video.nostr.build/9f4b56ec0fefc54e3083cb66f77fb3dc26fc78c77c334893904d1da239d349af.mp4
