My retro computing niche is source code archaeology: the art of reconstructing maintainable source code from disassembly and reverse engineering. It's harder than it sounds but also fascinating and rewarding. I also enjoy working with unpopular or niche programming languages. I very much follow the beat of a different drum.

I'm in the market for a cybersecurity related position. My background is mostly PKI and vulnerability management. Can someone point me in the direction of a solid recruiter or open cybersecurity roles that aren't ghost jobs? Full remote work is a hard requirement on my part.

HP sucks because of the vendor lock-in of the firmware of some models. The E series, I think.

The solution to crappy firmware is to disassemble the firmware, figure out how it works, and write an open source replacement that shares no more code with the original than is absolutely required to make it work.
