Nostr reminds me of ๐—•๐˜‚๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐˜†๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—บ๐˜€ (๐—•๐—•๐—ฆ) of the 1990s or even early dial-up internet era. The intellect of the users is high! Mass adoption would water this down eventually but I am ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐˜† to be here and will dedicate a ๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ธ of my time to it. Just as I did with BBSs.

Let's Go Nostr !!

Let's Go Bitcoin !!

Experiment: Exploring animatediff video diffusion for simulating natural phenomena.

I'm interested in the intersection of simulations and deep learning models, particularly in combining generative models with physics simulations, such as particle-liquid dynamics. Integrating deep learning with simulation algorithms could generalize and streamline computationally intensive tasks, reducing simulation time significantly. Inversely, using simulations as part of a generative model's training dataset could enhance its accuracy and performance leading to the 'impression of' a deeper understanding of the output it generates.

Typically, simulations are processor-heavy and are solved with central processing on CPUs. This contrasts with deep learning, which relies on parallel processing native to GPUs.

1. No matter how "outside the system" one perceives themselves to beโ€”socially, physically, financially, metaphysically, or otherwiseโ€”each individual is inherently interconnected with the rest of the species in all these ways. Additionally, the species itself functions as a multi-bodied organism bound by its environment in a similar manner. This suggests the existence of a singular system, from the molecular structure of cells to the vast cosmic structures of the universe, which we might call "The Natural Order."

2. Perhaps the overabundance of information, coupled with the increased ability to generate and disseminate convincing disinformation, could potentially lead our species into what I term a "technological dark age"โ€”a period resembling a conventional dark age where knowledge is lost or destroyed.

3. Logical decision-making still appears to have emotion as a foundation and driver. Emotions seem to be in the category of instinctual thought. Instinctual thought appears to be but a link in the chain of infinite cause and effect that is the defining feature of "The Natural Order." This further leads me to believe that I am possibly nothing more than an impartial observer of what was going to happen anyway, rather than an independent driver of events in my perceived existence.

All of these ideas I have had are built on the assumption that anything exists at all.

Bitcoin uses too much energy? AI uses too much energy?

The viability of an activity's power consumption is directly linked to the perceived value of that activity by its assessor. When an assessor does not value or feels threatened by an activity, they are more likely to deem its power consumption unviable. For example, consider the use of clothes dryers instead of washing lines. Statistics show that clothes dryers consume approximately 1.4 billion kWh per day globally, while the current energy consumption for neural network computing is estimated at around 100 to 200 million kWh per day.

However, when evaluating the use of neural network computing in future design, it becomes evident that it has the potential to significantly enhance the energy efficiency of most, if not all, existing and future technologies. This is a transformative capability that clothes dryers, as a whole, do not offer.

I think it is important to thougroughly understand the technology in question before making assertions about the viability of its power consumption.
