You don't need a full blown dedicated raspberry Pi node to "run a node".
Just install Bitcoin core in your desktop computer.
Then in your hardware wallet software, go to the settings and select your local PC as the node.

On one hand, it takes a ridiculous amount of time to constantly remind people of how you want to be addressed.
On the other, why does it matter if you aren't addressed in the manner you specifically require if the person addressing you is not obviously doing so to cause harm?
