[THIS SOFWARE IS DEPRECATED] #Electronic⚡️ #Nuts 🌰 A Cashu wallet for Android and iOS 🥜🐿 #Cashu is #Ecash for #Bitcoin

In case someone holding your funds becomes unreachable, how do we improve this?

The protocol is a very young trusted system in its development phase. Mints are also not professionally managed at the moment and may go down temporarily or have other issues.

I strongly advice to exercise caution and only use it with small amounts for experimental or educational purposes.

If the node never comes up again, there is no way to reclaim it other than asking the mint operator to reimburse you.

Not sure how you came to this state. In case something goes wrong, the wallet never deletes token and it might have kept token that have been spent afterwards.

This message indicates that the mint you are using has marked the token as spent for some reason.

You can clean up your balance from spent token by pressing on the mint, scroll down to danger zone and press check proofs.

Also, please update to latest version. This is beta software and introduces changes frequently.

Thanks for testing things out and reporting issues 🧡

There is currently no way to reset your pin.

The default mint for #eNuts operates on the lnbits server and is intended for reckless testing with minimal amounts that should be considered as a donation. Currently, it is undergoing maintenance by the lnbits team, and will be back within a few hours.

In the future, a dedicated mint managed by us will replace it. Users will receive notification to move to the new mint within a specified timeframe once it's established.

This note is saying that the default mint in the eNuts app is up again. eNuts has nothing to do with the npub@cashu.me address.

Preventing rugpulls is nearly impossible. A rugpull can be intentional or forced. Mint hosters cannot guarantee anything, and if they do, they lie.

What could indicate a 'trustworthy' provider is transparent communication, good support, community engagement, positive word-of-mouth propaganda, and incentives like service fees, etc. But all of this does not rule out a rugpull.

The wallet can also help by reminding, indicating, and suggesting actions, but in the end, the user has to manage risks himself.

Much work is remaining for adoption to even be considered.

Transferring Sats with a high level of privacy and zero fees is truly satisfying. This is just the beginning.

Endless possibilities await...

Yes, the recipient can find the token in his DMs. Not sure how it behaves with bridged contacts...

Have to dig a bit deeper into this and try to reproduce but it should work if the contact has a valid npub.

It worked for me. I have nostr:npub1dx5q2el8nd4eh3eg9t2e25fd7zuqg7zxz6ldkc3uzgh66ss2yc6st288sj

Where in the settings can i put in my nsec so i can zap using ecash?

You can't put your nsec. We use your npub to display your contact info and generate a new nsec (for handling DMs) from which you can send/receive Ecash.
