Trust in institutions whether it’s government or companies is tanking and probably will continue to fall.

Humans require trust to flourish. Trust in your neighbors/peers will become exponentially more important in the future.

I seriously suggest people stop Doordashing and Uber eating if you live in a reasonably safe area. Inviting the (in many cases) barely not homeless to case your neighborhood and house is a bad trade off.

## Progress this week

I was told recently that my update walls of text are too much. So, I'll try to keep things concise this week. 😅

This week has been all about building the reference implementation, which is quickly becoming a full-fledged client instead of just a reference implementation. I've not quite gotten to the MLS portion of the client yet but it does already support multiple accounts (including ephemeral accounts) and loads legacy (NIP-04) chats and full contact lists. So far, I've not implemented NIP-104 so there's not yet any updates to the MLS spec or other dependencies.

If you've got experience with using messengers in hostile environments (authoritarian regimes, you've been de-platformed, etc.) please get in touch. I'd love to hear more about what you'd like to see in a communication tool.

In the meantime, I'll be over here in the corner coding with my headphones on. 👨‍💻

I get it. I'm lazy too. I finally ended up. just attaching a non-kyc wallet of Satoshi. and then if the balance ever gets above a certain amount I we'll move it to my normal ( custodial and non KYC) wallet where I keep the Sats I stack.

It happened again.

Met this guy online in 2021. He came in as a shitcoiner. I helped him see the light with bitcoin.

During the bear market he was working insta cart in order to stack like crazy.

After a few years of hard work he had amassed 2-3 bitcoin.

Was super proud of this guy. He was on his way to changing his family tree. Then he fell for some runes meme token. Put his whole stack in. Even became leader of their meme coin army.

Is now promoting this scam token and promising returns to others. He’s already down significantly in bitcoin terms. Most likely scenario is that everyone involved with this thing is going to zero.

SAD.
