The stock market is where lots of people hold lots of their peasantwealth. It’s a centralized farce though, with a small handful of companies accounting most of the value. To make it worse, retail investors (stonk plebs you could say, aka regular people) account for a sliver of the value of each of those companies. That mustache guy has talked about this - apparently gamestop is the exception there. But essentially the stonk prices of the giant companies everyone owns dreaming of retirement one day, are at the whim of an elite cabal
Anyway… deepseek is the new ai in town and just put out superior ai, open source, self hostable, and free. It’s chinese though so might be sketchy idk
Nvidia is basically holding the stock market together and is already way beyond its “fair value” which you can legitimately say about things that aren’t bitcoin. It’s seen as an ai play even though they don’t directly do ai stuff really
And now it just got most likely rugged. And as nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m says, the stonk market is an emotional voting machine. If those stonk whales get emotional over this real threat to ai business models now that the race to the bottom took such a large and sudden leap, nvidia investors are gonna have a bad time
All in all my unwanted and not very smart advice is a) don’t listen to me except for b) stay humble and stack cold hard mf sats
