I suppose now would be a good time to point out the difference between the city state of London and the city called London in the UK.
The City of London is a sovereign state completely surrounded by the city called London. More commonly called “The square mile”, bordered by a stone wall, the City of London is not beholden to the crown. That is the headquarters of the Rothschild banking empire. They have no reporting laws, tax themselves and their highest role is know as Lord Mayor.

I want to really immerse myself in the culture of the places I visit. For casual conversation I’d like to know the language. Plus, I’m not proud of being an American who only speaks English. Plus, local coastguards and customs treat you better if you know their language, so I’ve been told.
It’s 34’ (10.4m) But I’m stuck in Annapolis through winter. I missed my window to escape. This sets me back a whole year, but if I stay here through next summer, I’ll have a chance to get familiar with the boat and really have a chance to explore the Chesapeake.
That’ll also give me a chance to do the windward islands properly. So that’ll put me in Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, and Columbia in summer of 2025.
