I thank God for Nostr. Seriously.

To see the world through the manipulated lens of IG, X, or some other exploitative medium, it becomes impossible to see what the real nature of the world is, and it affects one deeply. The horrific darkness that is pushed on to people through these ‘walled gardens’ which are really digital concentration camps is terrifying. From seeing the world through these controlled methods, you would think that everyone is out to get you, they want to harm you, and that you have to battle against the world.

Then you open nostr and escape this walled garden, and you realize you are no longer in these concentration camps where you are subjugated to these horrors and exploitation. You see how manipulated you are, how much evil, violent, and sexualize content is boosted specifically to manipulate you. Outside of their walls, their digital barbed wire fences, you can see the free world is different. That most people are good, want to connect, and share in a meaningful way. It helps unveil the nature of the war of control that is going on for the web itself, and gives one a glimpse of the very real good that is possible from liberating ourselves from the digital concentration camps, and what it means to be free to control our algorithms and who and how we connect.

My side goal for 2025 is to learn a bunch of new stuff. Going to push in all angles: design, development, ML, life skills.

One of my immediate goals is to learn how to train ml models. I have no idea where to start yet.

Do you use Damus and have it installed?

It was for the creators that got demonetized. “Free speech” is gone over there. Ben tried to explain this platform and someone jumped at him before even understanding. I’m not sure how payouts work here but I feel if good enough this could blow up.

Quick PSA for those who have large followings on the legacy platforms, and are taking the slow & steady approach on bringing Nostr onto those followers' radar:

Once these centralized platforms (X, IG, etc.) realize that Nostr is primed to blow up their business model, they will tweak their algorithms to crush anything and everything to do with Nostr, including anyone on those platforms who post npubs and other "nostr" keywords in their content.

Thus, the sooner you make the push to bring them over here, the better. Your ability to transition those followers into permanent, censorship-proof, paying followers over here is only going to go down over time.
