Just dumped about 10 bags of garden trimmings from clients and the chickens are excited as always.

Hours of entertainment and free food for them!

The whole run is basically a giant compost pile since all the debris is about 12” deep- and it soaks up all overflow from the rain tanks

We have several of these chile piquin plants, and they are one of my favorites. They are super hot, and they are perennial plants. They come back year after year and are very prolific in production. I freeze lots of the little peppers, make salsa with them, and also dry them and then grind them into powder for a great seasoning. #grownostr #permies #homesteading

Ended up with a few bluegill. The water level was too low this time of year.

Had a great weekend hanging out in the woods with my brother in law and my dog.

Walnut shells as Boucher?

Anyone have an opinion if walnut shells would make OK biochar? I have a small bag of old walnuts and was trying to think of something to do with them other than just tossing them in the compost bin. They don’t have the porous nature of wood, but I don’t know…

There are many examples of the Bible saying that wisdom and knowledge come from fear of God or fear of the Lord. One example is

Proverbs 1:7 (NIV)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,,but fools despise wisdom and instruction.,

If we want a right view of the world, life, science, history, relationships, etc., we need to have a healthy fear of the Lord and respect for his word, the Bible.

Last night I was reading "The Created Cosmos" by Danny R. Faulkner. At the end it has an appendix article by Lee Anderson, Called "Scripture as the Controlling Factor in Christian Worldview Development". This particular statement stood out to me.

"This 'fear' involves an awe-filled reverence toward God in view of a knowledge of who God is and what He has done which, in turn, produces a dependence upon God's revelation in navigating the path of life."

God's word should be the foundation upon which all of our beliefs, words, and actions rest.
