Well, I decided to set up Nostr on Amethyst on GrapheneOS after these shenanigans happened on Twitter.

Psychologically I can't deal with much more nonsense from Twitter after Nitter and Fritter had a scare regarding interacting with Twitter's API about 1.5-2 months ago. Nitter was able to recover then, but this caused Fritter to lose the ability to show all tweets in a feed.

The bad thing is that now I realized I muat've set up Gossip, my desktop Nostr client, wrong (as the npub addresses on both devices somehow ended up being very different; even though I copied and pasted the hex npub from Gossip into Amethyst).

Well, I guess the silver lining is that I did nothing except follow you on Gossip, so I can safely abandon my first Nostr identity on Gossip...

Good day to check out nostr again. The primary reason I'm not here more often is I connect through a very jank VM. Elon is working hard to incentivize me to fix it.

I've been away.

The newborn is such a lovely distraction and I also switched jobs which together was really intense. I found that my focus was drifting away from Nostr. I did check to see if the service was still running but neglected to answer the private messages. For this I am sorry.

When I was explaining Nostr to a coworker the other day I noticed how I'm still very much enthusiastic about this protocol and the development. I decided to dust of my relay list and get more active.

I will answer to all the private messages, old and new, and will be handing out Nostr adresses actively!
