A possible solution is to also run your own relay. I run an old optiplex running umbrel that has a nostr relay on it. Its not the most customizable but its very easy and cheap to set up

The decentralized nature of the protocol allows for you to be immutable (especially if you run your own relay) and vise versa with who you decide to follow. Plus putting a lightning url in your profile will allow permission-less micro payments from anyone, anywhere almost instantaneously with the hardest money known to man. 🤷‍♂️
