Cloud fodder is correct. Relays are only storing text so even a small capacity (to todays standards) hard drive space will be plenty of room.
If you set up your own personal relay (which is awesome and i recommend it) it will store what you post (text only). All of the other relays you are connected to also store that text. When you post a picture- it is being hosted somewhere else and the noster note is just linking to where that image is stored.
As a rough estimate, assuming plain text with no formatting or special characters, and using a common encoding like UTF-8, one megabyte can store roughly 500 to 1000 pages of text, depending on the length of the pages and the average length of the words.
For what purpose? ASICs have chips that process the SHA256 algorithm trying to brute force guess the current nonce to complete a block.
Relays.. well relay and store information. They don’t require more than a basic computer as far as hardware goes. One of the beauties of Nostr is that relays can be cheap and abundant so decentralization and resilience go up.
This is sound advice. It’s so difficult to see past our own bias. Or to even see that bias in the first place.
Maybe you didn’t really lose that value. You just converted it into knowledge that will help you persevere much more in the future.
I have done something similar in the first parts of my journey too, and i think many of us have.
What you have gained from those lessons will stay with you. Its powerful and it almost always takes loss to truly learn.

Which States Allow The Permitless Carry Of Guns? https://www.zerohedge.com/political/which-states-allow-permitless-carry-guns-0
I believe “allow” should be changed to “punish you if you get caught”
I mainly use Damus. I thought it might be Current doing it. They wont let you change relays on Current. Im not sure how to unlink from that client. Ive tried deleting my account there, but the problem persists.
Can anyone tell me why the relays i add never save longer than 1-2 hours?

Self sovereignty comes in many forms at many levels.
Reloading is incredibly fascinating. Learning the different deflagration rates of different powders, why certain twist rates work better and when, down to the flow of the brass in the chamber… and that’s all before the projectile leaves the barrel. Anyone else roll their own?

Ive heard good things about bitbox and i have a trezor and I like it. Ive also recently got a blockstream jade and i like their bang for the buck for what you get.
Which ones are you looking at?
I wanted to provide an update to this situation. I got a hold of someone at blockstream and they asked me to completely open up the box to see if the seals were in-fact broken. As you can see the security seals were intact. Im happy to say blockstream uses quality tamper evident seals. Thanks bitcoin community for teaching me the seriousness of security seals. Never trust, only verify.
The bull is trotting ;)
I sure hope so! What’s that saying?.. “blindly trust, no need to verify”.. no that doesn’t seem correct 🧐
