HE SPENT THE FIRST CHAPTER OF HIS LIFE AS A PROFESSIONAL EQUESTRIAN ATHLETE IN THE DISCIPLINE OF CUTTING. HERE COWBOYS WORK CATTLE FROM HORSEBACK, ALL IN TRUE COUNTRY FASHION. HE HAS WON VARIOUS CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES THAT HAVE LED HIM TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HIGHLY ENDOWED TOURNAMENT, THE WORLD SERIES.

The older these little rascals 🐶 get, the louder the sounds coming from the litter box šŸ’– — and today the furry vacuum pumps worked on high performance level.šŸ’ŖšŸ˜…

Some folks say it’s one of the sweetest sounds on earth šŸŒ … and others say it can be a tiny bit nerve-wracking when it happens a few times a night.

So tell me, Ranch Family — which team are you?

Team Sweetest Sound ā¤ļø or Team Please-Let-Me-Sleep? 😮

Out here checking the sheep, and the north wind turned the whole pasture into one big frosted cookie. Crunchy, iced grass, cold air, warm sun — the kind of morning that reminds you nature writes the best scenes. 🌾🧊

Feels like we’re enjoying the last calm, sunny breath before winter drops the curtain for real.

The snow clouds are stacking up on the horizon… looks like the weatherman might actually win this one. Get ready, Ranch Family — real winter pictures coming in hot… or, well… cold, maybe starting tomorrow ā„ļøšŸ¤ ā¤ļø

Good thing I trusted my gut and decided to press pause on the field recordings for the winter yesterday. Out here it feels like my guitar would freeze before I finish the first verse. So this season, we’re warming things up with the Barn Sessions instead — just me, the music, and that cozy ranch atmosphere.

I hope y’all are as excited as I am to see the very first episode drop… it’s coming real soon! šŸ˜‰

Some of the hardest seasons of my life were spent in the saddle and in the dark… but that’s where I learned this: you don’t have to see the whole trail to keep moving, you just have to trust your horse, your heart, and the ones who ride beside you.

Which members of the Ranch Family have been on this trail with me long enough to recognize this man beside me?

If you do… then you already know how deeply I miss him. These days I can feel him around me stronger than ever, like he’s saddling up right beside me. I’ll tell you more about that in the coming days… it’s powerful. ā¤ļø

If you’re newer here: this amazing man is my father — my hero, my mentor, my hardest critic, my steady North Star, my teacher in grit and grace, and the man who shaped a huge part of the cowboy I became.

Life threw more at him than most people could handle… cancer and Parkinson’s at the same time. He beat the cancer. And he wrestled Parkinson’s for 14 long years, refusing to give in. šŸ’Ŗ Only the last 2.5 years required help.

When that moment came, I pushed pause on everything — my career, the ranch, my own life — because my parents loved their home and they feared ending their days anywhere else. So my sister and I stepped in. For a little more than three years I lived with my 3 dogs (Mikey, Scout and Fuzzy) in an appartment 5 minutes away from my parents, 100 miles south from the ranch. Eight-hour shifts, seven days a week, almost no free days… it took a lot out of me, I won’t lie. But I’d do it again for them in a heartbeat.

Those years gave me memories I’d never trade. One moment will stay with me forever:

my parents were talking about what they appreciated most in each other… and out of nowhere, my Dad turned to me — a man who barely said ā€˜I love you’ or ā€˜I’m proud of you’— and said: ā€˜Son, I love you for your big, caring heart, for your humanity, your selflessness and that you restlessly try to share the light, that lives inside you, with the world, to make it a better place! I first thought you’re a dreamer, but I actually can see it happen! I’m proud of you!’ āœØšŸ’–

That was after I had written & published a chart breaking song about him and his fight against Parkinson’s! šŸ™ˆšŸ˜… It got picked up & powered by many Parkinson’s Associations around the globe! I’ll share the official video in the comments! Go and meet my Dad, he was/is proud part of it! If you like it, leave a like and comment on it on Youtube!

Out here the cold 🄶 doesn’t arrive all at once… it sneaks in day by day until suddenly everything you touch is covered in ice. Even the car looks like it spent the night inside a freezer. For those living in warmer places: before you can even think about driving, you’ve gotta stand there in the dark, scraping a thick layer of ice off the windshield with a tiny plastic tool. It’s a whole workout before sunrise — scraping off frozen layers like peeling a stubborn sticker off a window. It’s cold, it’s early, it’s a bit ridiculous… but it’s real winter life out here. šŸ˜‚ā„ļøšŸŒ¾

Sitting here in the cab, waiting for that load to finally be mine. šŸ’Ŗ Sometimes waiting feels like a quiet song the universe hums just for me — a reminder that every mile starts with a pause, every journey with a breath.

Patience isn’t just a virtue for me… it’s a companion. šŸ¤— It sits beside me in the stillness, whispers that timing has its own kind of wisdom, and teaches me that even the longest standstill can shape the strongest rider.

And honestly, if you ever open a dictionary and search for patience… I own so much of it, there’s a fair chance you’ll find a picture of my companion ā€˜Pat’ and me smiling right back at you. šŸ˜…ā¤ļøšŸ™ˆ

You know that quiet moment before the ranch wakes up? Well, today the breeze šŸ’Ø had other plans. Those snowflakes ā„ļø didn’t float — they raced through the air like little glowing streaks, straight as fired tracers.

Feeding the horses turned into a front-row seat to nature’s own artwork, which was only visible in the beam of the headlight. ā¤ļø Simple things… but they hit the soul every time. 🌾

Destiny isn’t a road you’re placed on… it’s a trail that shows up one step at a time, only after you’ve got the courage to take the first one. Life hands you the tools, but you’re the one who has to swing the hammer before the path lights up in front of you.

Made it home in one piece, boots dusty, spirit full… and this tiny nose 🐶 was the first to greet me. I swear, moments like these wash the whole day off a man’s shoulders.

After miles of cold wind and long thoughts, coming back to a heartbeat this small — and this full of trust — feels like the kind of welcome no highway could ever promise.

Sometimes the sweetest welcome home isn’t loud or grand… it’s written in the smallest heartbeat, pressed right up against your own. ā¤ļøšŸŒ¾

🌟 I wasn’t ready for what the universe dropped on me this week, giving me goosebumps writing this… here’s the crazy, fantastic, weird story of me feeling my Dad tremendously close this week!

The kind of close that makes you stop in the cold morning air and just breathe him in, the kind of close you feel when a horse lifts its head and looks past you, like it sees someone you can’t. And then, out of nowhere, this e-mail arrives… telling me ā€˜Climb This Mountain’, the song I wrote for him during his hardest battle, became a finalist in the global Parkinsong competition of the World Parkinson Disease Coalition.

All final round songs will end up on a compilation album, with a release show at the World Parkinson Congress 2026, taking place in Phoenix, Arizona, including a request to perform! The voting’s still open (simply give the official video a like on Youtube, link in the comments, link to the WPC 2026 and to the Parkinsong Contest as well!), ā€˜Climb This Mountain’ in the lead position in the finals so far!

But here’s the twist that gave me chills: I never submitted it.

So who did?

Maybe a patient who’s fighting that same battle?

Maybe a caretaker who recognized the truth in that song?

Maybe a Dad who still moves mountains in ways I’ll never fully understand?

What I know is this: with every listen, every vote, every heart touched… it all carries my Dad’s legacy and his story forward. And that’s the kind of miracle you don’t take lightly. ✨

It’s one of those moments where the universe taps you on the shoulder a little harder than usual. That’s not random. That’s not coincidence. That’s the kind of thing that makes you stop in your tracks on the ranch road with goosebumps all over! It’s a moment wrapped in something bigger than us. šŸ’–šŸ™
