Yes, that ticked symbol does indicate verification. Seems like sometimes there’s text after it and sometimes there isn’t.
For example the first photo is using nostr:npub1n0delesspp5qyp9sd6d4fql9g3s96k7g4yyvfmpdncpp542wvxzqksp427 and the second is using bitcoinnostr.com
