Smoking kills, btw.
A very local politician might still not be a total moron in rare cases, while a preacher will always be a moron, no matter how intelligent, because he does not try to find his way of helping others, but rather tries to enforce some holy book's inventions.
I actually found the new redesign beautiful & very refreshing.
It also makes absolutely sense to have a mascot robot for the OrBOT app. π
Looks really healthy! Don't forget to take a burger home, next time. π
A big issue, indeed. Already pointed out in previous notes & replies, how big this issue is & that it will only grow.
I experienced something similar, where single note throwaway npubs were posting the same scam message across too many different tags. They spammed the feed with useless scam attempts.
There is none, that can compare.
Pointed out this inherent issue with how #Nostr currently works, in a couple of previous notes & replies.
The bigger #Nostr gets, the more will this kind of spam become everyday business. #Nostr needs way stronger spam protection!

#AskNostr Who is in charge of Primal, the #Nostr web client?
I'm verifying my identity with my NIP-05 jeff@amazon.com. If you can't see it, try Primal: https://primal.net/p/npub19xvt577nr7vjffrefammx5r5f2axlh998ue20kgvfgnpteq8wpzq3t62eq
So Primal has an exploitable vulnerability for NIP-5?
nostr:npub1s0ced0y7cskuk3m4822hxaye6zmx3ucxws50xgjm5cty5llkcgzqr0s7kd denies obvious security issues with its product.
Requirements
1. Phone Number you have access to.
2. End to End Encryption must be manually enabled.

#Telegram #E2E #EndToEndEncryption #Encryption #Cryptography #Cloud #Chat #InstantMessenger #Messenger #IM #Corporate #CorporateSpeak #Marketing #Propaganda
Does not matter what the guy says, who makes millions off the product. I trust the independent security experts who have repeatedly shown, that Telegram is basically a differently coloured WhatsApp, when it comes to security. Like, end to end encryption was even optional for such a long time. π
& in regards to who or what company is behind it, #Telegram is not exactly trustworthy, either.
That said, there are plenty of people & organisations, which have been infiltrated, because they thought they were safe on #Telegram.
It would be a custom OCR to optimise it for specifically this format, as already existing OCRs are "too smart" as they expect more than just a TOML.
For the QR Code, any scanner is already optimised to the specifics of a QR Code. QR Codes always look & work the same. No custom engine needed.
Today I shill an old project of mine, unrelated to Nostr: https://github.com/dtonon/papiro
Papiro is a very simple tool for storing any data in physical form by printing qrcodes on one or more pages. I created it a couple of years ago for a personal need; maybe it can be useful to you too to improve your backup strategy. Try it :)

Why QR Codes on paper?Because paper seems the most resilient and cost-effective storage medium on earth, at least for low volume data, and QR Codes have an interesting error-checking system. So it is a nice backup solution to pair with digital ones.
Sounds like an amazing idea, but I'm sick & tired of most people assuming QR Codes are the only real thing out there.
In reality, there are many different codes out there & Aztec is the overall best!
It is TONS more reliable than QR Codes, especially printed out, in the wild.
Error correction works much smoother, etc. It is also more efficient, if I remember correctly.
#asknostr Anyone have experience with this? https://www.revolut.com
- What's their privacy-situation like?
- Who, and from where, is it maintained?
- Is it trustworthy?
They seem to be a Paypal alternative... but i dunno what to think of it. o.o So I am looking for some blurbs of experience elsewhere.
Good questions.
What dystopian North Korea has advertisements running at oil pumps. O_O
