Bible Verse of the Day:

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

But I wouldn’t choose any other way. I’m choosing God. Period. 🙏

I’m so serious. Entering by the narrow gate is the hardest thing I’ve done in my LIFE. 😇

Furthermore, my story isn’t over yet. Just wait until I share all of these experiences from my traveling ministry over the past two years. Whew honey!! I could literally post every emoji to express every emotion during the journey. My goodness. 😅

I have more stories to share throughout my two decades professional career. But I gotta save some things for the memoir. 💃

Plenty of lowlights and plenty of highlights. Yet, I’m still standing tall. God is great.

I’ve been working hard my entire adult life. Never slept my way to the top. Never stepped on anyone to reach a pinnacle of success. Never threw anyone under the bus.

Just grinding. The honest way. I’ve had temporary losses but an overall success No one can tell me nothing. But I am gonna keep all these screenshots of the haters on Nostr. I use them as motivational and inspirational examples when speaking to others.

I received a 4-year scholarship for undergraduate school. And an assistantship for graduate school. It pays to be a nerd. I embrace my nerdiness. And not too shabby considering I was born into poverty.

As a follow up to my story, I didn’t want to be in Alaska for two years. But…I still ended up in cold Iowa for two years. 🥴

Listen, it wasn’t initially planned! But recruiters from ACT, Inc. (the testing company) were recruiting as well. They said if I just applied based on my degree and GRE scores, I’ll get accepted and will receive an internship/assistantship to work at ACT. Do I look stupid to turn down that opportunity? Laughable. I’m not stupid at all! So I applied. Got accepted into the University of Iowa and worked at ACT.

I think I should make a new Math Trivia game for the little ones. I have created other content but I like trivia games. This one will be super fun. I’ll make it over the next few days. Adults can play too! 🥳

And no I’m not interested in applying today. I work for God. 😇

Plus, I’m 45 years old. Other than a few exceptions, I’m not doing anymore advanced math/statistics work. I’m focused on the kiddos and teaching them cool ways to learn multiplication and division. 🥳

Story Time!

After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in 2000 at the age of 20, there was a recruitment to join the FBI. They were specifically looking for recent graduates who majored in math, cryptography, and other specialized STEM fields. It was a special program and it was to initially last two years. I reached out to the recruiter and he was like apply!

At the time, I checked two DEI boxes even though DEI wasn’t an outright spoken thing back then. I was a black, female with a Math degree and graduated Cum Laude. I was 20 years old. And I was super interested in Cryptography (Encryption/Decryption). I’m such a nerd to have memorized Morse Code as a kid.

He contacted me a couple times but I never applied because of the potential locations. I believe there were six locations. One location was Alaska and he couldn’t guarantee where I would be placed. There were no locations in Florida. If I recall correctly, I think the southernmost location was somewhere in Texas. As a Floridian born and raised, I…do…not…like…cold…weather!! My hair hates cold weather. My skin hates cold weather. Any temperature below 72 degrees Fahrenheit starts to annoy me. I become miserable. Seriously.

Nonetheless, I didn’t want to take a chance to apply and be placed in Alaska for two years. 🥴😅

With that said, I’ve always wondered where I would be today if I actually applied back then. 💭💭💭

I understand your point. I’m just saying that after being rejected twice, at what point does someone stand on principle for the product they built and believe in? If someone makes a decentralized app *on purpose*, then why try to force it in a centralized source? It seems contradictory. For example, Olas is supposed to be the decentralized version of IG. So why be surprised when it’s rejected by the centralized App Store. Please tell me you understand my point. Otherwise, we can respectfully agree to disagree.

Jack is a busy guy. And super important. But I’m sure he can squeeze in a few more things. He’s built for it.

It feels great to be 45 years old and old enough to have played Hopscotch, watched TV until it went off at midnight, learned DOS in high school, got my first email address in college and now seeing where we are digitally in 2025. Quite an interesting timeline.

I’m also old enough to remember the early days of the Internet…before apps became a thing. Somehow, someway, people were still able to access things. Go figure. How did they do it?

Maybe. Maybe not. But it definitely has room for improvement.

Isn’t standing on principle more important? Are you willing to water down your product just to be accepted by Apple? Also, Isn’t there are ZapStore where people can upload/download apps. If apps are so important, shift the focus to there.
