Isn’t there are ZapStore where people can upload/download apps. If apps are so important, shift the focus to there.
True. But Apple doesn’t like your product in its current state. Are you going to try for a 3rd time?
Cool. But if we know there are issues with apps being rejected/taken down as seen with Damus a while back, then why trip when they reject a similar app. At the same time, there’s a lot of people screaming decentralization around here but still want to go to a centralized source. Seems hypocritical to me.
They say the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing but expecting different results. 🤷‍♀️
That’s what they say. Don’t shoot the messenger.
What doesn’t make sense? People can access a website or a web client is my point. There are other ways to meet people. An app from the app store isn’t required to reach people. But hey, if you want to keep submitting your product to a centralized source and keep getting rejected, then do you. 🤷‍♀️
I’m old enough to remember that Google became a popular search engine prior to having a top app in the App store. 🤷‍♀️
The thing I’m building will be web only. I’m not wasting my time creating an app. As long as you have access to the Internet, you’ll be able to access the content regardless of device.
Apps gotta be approved and updated. And can be blocked at the regional level. Websites can be blocked at the country level too but the work around is to simply point to a different domain name. Easy solution.
And what’s the obsession with getting in app in the App Store or Google Store?
Shouldn’t the focus be on a web client?
I just read nostr:nprofile1qqs04xzt6ldm9qhs0ctw0t58kf4z57umjzmjg6jywu0seadwtqqc75spp4mhxue69uhkvdm69e5k7tcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcgwadxk post the other day about #olas being rejected by Apple… for the second time.
I’m not surprised. I’m just curious as why people who shout about “decentralization” want to submit their work to a centralized source. Make it make sense. Pick a side. It feels wishy washy.
I personally would have bigger fish to fry. But that’s just me.
People around the world can speak English but typically have accents. Are you seriously trying to spend time trying to get someone to say the name of your app clearly?
If it’s part of your branding and marketing strategy, then go ahead. Good luck. 👍
And before someone rolls into my comments and suggests another app like nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuem9w3skccne9e3k7mf0wccsp8s8gz, Yakihonne has a name problem. It’s hard to pronounce and spell. I don’t even know if I’m pronouncing it correctly. I’ve already discussed the importance of naming apps in posts months ago. Most brand names are one or two syllables. And phonetically sound. Make a list of the top 10 brands and the names typically have one or two syllables and/or phonetically sound.
With that said, once Damus adds the built-in wallet and makes improvements to Dave, I’m more than likely making the switch IF they’ve incorporated some privacy features. BIG IF!
Although I’ve never received a whale zap from Primal, I’m focused on the bigger picture of helping people get acquainted with Bitcoin. I guess I need to be a YouTube sensation to get a 210k whale zap from nostr:nprofile1qqsdv8emcke7k3qqaldwv956tstu40ejg663gdsaayuuujs6pknw7jspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxg3tx6mz .
Btw, where is Mr. YouTube sensation? The jokes write themselves.
I got another person to download the nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qyx8wumn8ghj7cnjvghxjmcta6xqe app while here in Cape Town even though I’m irritated with Primal because of the lack of privacy. I know I said I wouldn’t recommend them but I figured it’s still best to build bridges to other apps. 🤷‍♀️
Some of the users are merchants and this app can be used as a segue to merchant adoption of Bitcoin.
Meeting was productive. 🚀
I have a meeting at 11am. We’ll be discussing a lot of things including education about Data Science and AI.
As a subject matter expert, I’m well equipped to delve into these topics and also let them know about what Microsoft is doing in South Africa.
I’m excited about what’s in store.
Sounds great. Well someone needs to drop a bomb commercial showing how it works and make it convincing. Marketing is valuable. I want to see a 60 second commercial of what you wrote that’s convincing enough to use.
