While on the topic of controversial opinions, here's another one specifically for the trad community, whose message I 95% agree with:

Waiting until marriage for sex is crazy.

I'm all for pushing back against degenerate hookup culture—that's the opposite extreme, and obviously terrible for people.

But locking into a lifelong commitment with someone when you haven't explored physical intimacy with them on deep level is an insanely high risk IMO. (I had lots of very religious friends growing up, and have seen this lesson learned the hard way, I'll leave it at that.)

Anyone with some sexual experience can confirm: sometimes a person can have a great personality, great heart, and great ambition in life...but the sexual chemistry between the two of you just isn't there.

And that's okay! Just like every other trait you're vetting for in the dating process, this is why you explore with them and learn these things, to see if the two of you will be not just compatible, but MAGICALLY-compatible, on the emotional, spiritual, and physical level.

To leave one of those completely off the table for exploration with someone you're considering spending the rest of your life with...
