I know a lot of people on Nostr don't want to hear this but in a completely trustless world bitcoin would be just as useless as anything else.

I don't think that's the way it works. Sound money just allocates value more efficiently and encourages activity more aligned with the interests of the entire ecosystem

Just listened to some songs that I had previously listened to while under the influence of marijuana.

The lyrics are so much sllooowwerr...

If the State is going to exist then one of it's primary roles is to protect existing citizens from threats from abroad. On this day it was clear that the Austtalian Government had failed at this.

If the State won't protect it's citizens then it has no business taxing them.

Which is your fav?

Key takeaway from the Tucker Putin interview (that I didn't watch):

Nation states are an outdated concept, the nuclearaggressive ones are a danger to humanity, and the sooner bitcoin dries up their tax base and causes their collapse the better for everyone

Oh fair enough. You're talking about paying for stuff over the net. Yeah I guess that is another issue. I think Saylor was talking about using his public key to verify his identity, so perhaps that's the avenue things go down. I honestly really don't understand how that works though. I know sharing a public key on X gives your corresponding account on Nostr some credibity.

Feel free to mute me if me talking is bothering you

I think I follow what you're saying: people will be regulated offline, and that will affect what they are willing to say online. But obviously lots of people are using pseudonyms and it would usually not be worth the resources necessary to figure out who they are. But yes, anyone who is willing to put up a real name or business name that connects them to the real world can be held accountable in the real world, so real-world laws apply to what they say. This increases the credibility of what they say compared to someone only willing to use a pseudonym.

I think we need to move from information as a noun to information as a verb. Can anyone relate to what I'm saying?

"in the current macroeconomic situation, everything is risky. Stocks are risky. They're trading like altcoins right now for the most part. Debt is piling up and the debt servicing payments are reaching a trillion or have reached a trillion dollars. So you can't just say like maybe you heard 10 years ago in some mainstream media article Bitcoin is a risky asset. You can't just say that and parrot it 10 years later. You have to look at the current situation and reassess."

I really think we're at the 'and then they fight us' stage. But I really think they have less ammo than they think they do

Here is a photo I took of the night sky at my parent's farm near Bega, Australia.
