Honestly this is the kind of attitude that has prevented it from happening. It's the logic that if only humans went back to fighting with spears, we'd once again 'be tough'. Except that isn't how humans have conquored nature. Look closer- even the spear is an invention of the mind.

I proudly state I am entitled to use my brain to overcome challenges, and will damn well riticule anyone that tries to imply that we as humans would be better served enduring unnecessary hardship for the argument that suffering is somehow good for us.

Despicable.

So beer would be about the same as now, sorry alco

Ok, virtually reflective of input costs

Not really. It's just using sometimes lower priced but not free electricity to inflate the hash difficulty. The exact same amount if bitcoin would be created with 0.00000001% the energy.

Which we for some reason don't want to do at scale

Electricity should be virtually free.

Except this isn't how basic economics works. Hoarding any commodity causes price to rise, causing increased investment and then production as people seek to gain from producing more of it, causing equilibrium to return. Hoarding bitcoin or gold isn't exempt- more energy is spent trying to produce these resources which actually contribute no value in and of themselves. So if anything it's actually the opposite of what Luke is saying

If you're a man and you aren't happy with your sex life, you should do whatever you can to stop paying tax

Anger is a gift

Why does everyone online ignore me
