A Hitler bot would be pretty funny to always be under his comments. I don't want to waste CPU resources on it though. Or worse just dev time.

One of the most annoying thing about Nostr communities is how all post need to be approved.
That spec seems to have been settled upon and merged into the nips.
So after some reading I decided to write a bot to auto approve post so it doesn't take so long to get communities up and going.
This bot written in dart will run in a docker container and query a relay for new community post. With the supplied private key of a moderator it will automatically approve any new post from any user not in the block list.
I will be adding more features such as a approved user list for those who want more private communities.
Let me know if you want to try it out and I can help you set it up. It can run anywhere docker is available.

I mean within reason. Curation is valuable. Censorship is not. It must be toggable. On and off button.
And people will generate a million accounts to make all the voting not work. Votes can't work on nostr.
I’ve been thinking deeply about content moderation on Nostr.
I’m very pro-freedom-tech but there are problems we will need to solve to scale and be acceptable to a wider audience of user.
To help get the ball rolling on improving Nostr’s ability to keep bad actors from poisoning the well here’s a proposal for a freedom maximising strategy for dealing with illegal or just insanity content (as determined by Nostr users)
I know this’ll be controversial so I’m looking for feedback and refinements before trying to build something to get this ball rolling.

Larger relays will need AI filters. Your Blocklist idea isn't gonna work when I can generate a new id for each post. Smaller relays can moderate themselves just like the fediverse does. I'm not saying we can't make shared Blocklist but it's gonna do jack shit to stop illegal material.
