Decentralized Quake III?

Where nostalgia meets privacy tech.

Decentralized gaming now being tested on Vector. No blockchain, no servers, no bullshit.... well lag, that's still bullshit. Local/Regional gameplay is perfect. Playing halfway around the world is not optimal, but still playable. Ping obviously offers massive advantages in fast-paced FPS games.

If anyone is interested in testing the limits with us, download the Pre-Release (v0.3.0):

I like

One day it will be 99% playable :D

My idea is to cut out the middle man, however there could be an implementation of my idea that could benefit from a middle man: hosting game downloads for creators, hosting servers for online play.

I’m am also trying to build the platform to be able to be forked and allow all data (users game library, receipts for game purchases) to trivially be moved over to the alternative platform.

Working on a Nostr Client for digital game sales, creators to customer with lightning for DRM Free games (you buy the game files and can play them without an internet connection.)

Started vibe coding, think I have the basics flush out, having fun with logos now on my lunch break.

The first time I installed wifi didn’t work, but it was because my laptop was brand new and they didn’t have drivers updated for that model. Tried again 5 months later worked no problem
