Almost every OS does this. Windows places thumbnail caches and a recycle bin folder on drives, Linux has LOST+FOUND, etc…

Doing some research, it looks like it was created by the authors of Atom. A minimalist editor. (No tabs, no file tree)
Why not use NeoVim or eMacs? Why do all these tiny editors that add almost no value keep cropping up? It’s not an IDE. It’s an editor.

You’re not going to get off with just 4GB anymore though. My install was ~55GB.
The 2022 version also focused on performance. It was getting pretty slow before that.
Plug-ins. Plug-ins everywhere might as well run neovim you’re gonna have to configure and install that much
