I spent a lot of time in Wales in 2017-2020. Lovely people. City was a little tired though. Seemed very poor.
Pretty run down, and they love a fight when they come up from the valleys to town. Still great people though as everywhere

Some accents can degrade communication measurably by omitting or confusing letters and basic grammar conventions, so badly that their speakers often can't understand each other at the most basic daily tasks.
I live in a place where I suffer this every day.
