My thought for today:

Speak and live the truth as best you know and believe it.

I may not always agree with you.

There may be times I cannot even support you, because of my own beliefs about what’s true.

But I will always respect you.

Respect is a better foundation for a strong friendship than mutual beliefs. And having a friend who challenges you is more rewarding than a comfortable one.

I suspect the little I know about him is more along the lines of the speeches in Canada then. I was under the impression he was a bit of a moron.

We often try to create “thing problems” out of “people problems” because banning things is easier than helping people. nostr:note1pj2vswrqqzdlce36w8rw5ctjx3t93fp3dnc2ryryl8k76rkgevsq6k0zfd

Yes. The few clips of him I’ve seen don’t paint him in a very positive light, and I’m sure I disagree on many of his views overall, but I was very favorably impressed with this presentation.

I’m not normally one to listen to political “pundits” and certainly am not co-signing anything else he’s ever said (not a viewer) but out of curiosity I clicked this and let it play.

His points about telling the truth, maintaining your dignity, and not allowing yourself to be silenced or coerced into something you don’t believe in, was extraordinarily well put. Honestly the entire thing was much more eloquent than I was led to expect based on other people’s opinion of Tucker Carlson.

I understood you. 🫂

🤣

If I had a Time Machine, I’d love to go back and see who was the one to think it up - a man, or a woman.

This speech is frigging amazing. nostr:note1qa7aswaxjt4f9l6a5kef27qy3jzuhfcdmkcja43ju9vxazdmg9eqrmruya

Interesting. 90% of my typos are because I’m using terms the phone doesn’t know, or trying to type a name and either way it gets autocorrected to something completely nonsensical.

I may need to do the same experiment.

Someone always comes.

Reminds me of another of my grandpa’s sayings: “If you ever find a perfect church, leave - you’ll screw it up.”

Dostoyevsky’s thought on how man would wreck utopia out of boredom also comes to mind.

I’ve probably achieved adequate WPM on my phone that turning autocorrect off would actually improve my speed.

I spend half my time correcting the phone.

MIT is asking how you can help others.

GPL is asking how you can force others to help others.

Sorry least, couldn’t help myself. 🙇

That was my thought as well, so no worries. You’d have to have looked at us in person and said fr fr before I thought you were serious on the other. 🤣

No worries. 🫂❤️
