I recently read 'The block size wars' #bookstr I side with the small block camp in seeing the need for nodes needing to be able to be run by average users and also the need for the transaction fees to cover mining costs once the block subsidy end. However, I recently read that there is not enough capacity for everyone on the planet to open and close lightning channels. Is that just FUD? Has the fee rate been modelled? What are the incentives that ensure Bitcoin block size or scaling solutions get the right balance between usability and security? Is it UASF's to lower mining revenue and competing forks?
Yeah, it's only good on a lazy Sunday because the sugar crash is real.
Pancake Sunday. Fluffy pancake stack. Ricotta, bananas caramelised in ginger and coffee rum sauce, toasted coconut flakes and mint from the garden.

Me too. I'm nearly 40 and am noticing stuff in memes that makes me think I should get assessed
Interesting that the people who get engagement, and therefore paid by Twitter, are not the people you would choose to support with a zap. It shows the economicand social distortion that the advertising model creates.

No. I don't think it is necessary unless I was more established with nostr or a more prominent personality
Well, Damus is an app...
But it is the end of social media sites. Sites are privately controlled, not suited for public spaces. Protocols are open for everyone and therefore suitable as public spaces.
Yes, you will only see people who are connected to relays you connect to. I think some relays share information with other relays, I'm not sure. If you are on the big relays you will get a majority of users, but also more spam in the global feed. Too many relays can make it glitchy as information can load at different speeds. About a dozen relays is optimal.
Is there any way to cast nostr apps with google chrome? I am using #Amethyst and #wavman.
It doesn't create them, the system selects for them. Publisher's owned by clown world hire journalists who write for clown world. Journalists who write trust not get paid.
The high cost of publishing and network effect of established publications is a moat that prevents independent journalism. Nostr can fix this

I agree. Bitcoin and Nostr are honest, noble and righteous causes but they are not saviours. If we expect them to be a cute for the human condition we will become disillusioned. Bitcoin especially is likely to be a source of great temptation for many bitcoiners if it's value continues to rise and they become very wealthy.
You would need to show them how they are in economic slavery and that the welfare systems are designed to prevent them being self sufficient. But that applies to everyone, black or white, gang member or not.
