Zaps != sats actually moving on the Lightning Network
Zapper reputation and weighted zaps sum?
@jb55
I agree, zaps are amazing! Just worth mentioning that similarly to likes it can also get manipulated
Damus testflight frens, I did an experiment, how many zaps my dog received? it crashes snort.social on my account 😃 #[0]

It's possible to allow connections only from a specific range of ips, nothing that VPN / TOR can't bypass
I get this error message when trying to zap you:
Failed to load LNURL service
Not all clients support zaps, the wallet you used to pay with doesn't matter
Thanks! I can see your invoice, but it seems like a normal payment and not a zap. what client do you use?
Do you see my self-zaps on testflight Damus?
Testing my setup, can anyone zap 1 sat please?
If you try to zap me now, you'll see a gigantic QR contains the whole zap invoice, and it would only work if you don't have too many relays configured (otherwise the invoice bypasses the description length limit)
Is anyone getting zapped with Core Lightning? I've updated lnurl-commando to support the zaps server specification, and cln-zapper to work over commando. The only remaining challenge is to generate a hashed description invoice and overcome the length limit. I could use an external database as a workaround, but I'm wondering if someone has already found a solution for this?

After some tuning from what probably was the first[1] message posted by SMS on Nostr, here is the code!
sms2nostr is a proof of concept of a sms-to-nostr gateway that permits a user to post notes on Nostr using non internet enabled phones and IoT devices, or feature phones when the network is not available.
https://github.com/dtonon/sms2nostr
Can be useful? Crazy and useless idea?
Beta live playground available!
If you want to try it right now feel free to DM me, I setup a USA number that can receive sms from all over the world.
This first test instance will be shared publicly as soon the code will be a little battled tested, follow me to keep yourself informed.
Special thanks to #[0] and #[1] for reminding me that Twitter was born with SMS support, so why not Nostr? :)

What about fax2nostr? 🙂
I wish it was easier to get there from Tel-Aviv, I'll be sponsoring some beers remotely ⚡😀
Happy that in IL a limited cellular data plan is not that common, but it sounds like there's a room for buffering & compressing relays for mobile use
Appreciate all your work in the nostrsphere!
I implemented a very simple python bot & backend that monitors nostr tags, and once tagged it requests&waits for user's metadata, then replies with an invoice according to the name length (if the name is availabe). The backend probes the node for paid invoices and registers the corresponding nip05 identifier immediatly.
Cool thing is that you don't need to expose your node hardware to any new service or plugin, but rather just create some read only runes.
Currently uses lnsocket ( #[3] ) + commando + sqlite3
If someone is interested in that piece of code, I'll make it readable & open sourced 😀
Tagged the bot as well to thank him for his work so far (should reply with a name already exist kind of message 😆) #[2]
Next step is to integrate gptbot to support requiests written in free text
#[4] hope it's fine, let me know how you feel about that.
Thanks for checking! so for me the "www" doesn't point anywhere but seems like it's working well on Damus and Astral. Sure it wasn't just a CORS issue?
My lightning address is shown on Damus as well btw?
