Bud, the fact of the matter is that Primal wallet is a custodial wallet and by requesting personal information (which they then validate), they are performing KYC. Have a read of their terms on their Hosted Wallet Service (provided by Strike). https://primal.net/terms

I really don’t care about the address format but it was the format that primal was asking me for. I ended up using primal wallet because it was easy to set up. But now i try to send from primal wallet to phoenix and still the format of the phoenix address is not accepted. Any ideas why?

I actually signed up for phoenix but don’t understand the app. It never gave the correct address format to recieve. Have you used phoenix?
What you filled in there is childlike by the way. Being into bitcoin doesn’t mean being paranoid. Also KYC is a company asking for verifiable id documents that they actually verify. That’s not KYC, let’s not throw terms around.
