CONGRADULATIONS TO RFK. LET THE REFORM BEGIN!!!
The average wage was about $5,400 in 1925. Today, it’s $60,000 according to the Labor department. That puts the gain at eleven times. But the cost of a new Ford truck (basic, working man’s model) has gone up from $500 to $42,000 – 83 times.
In 1925, it took a wage earner only a bit more than a single year’s work to buy an average house. Now, it takes more than eight years. But for an investor, it took only the equivalent of 50 Dows to buy a house a hundred years ago. Now, it takes only twelve. It’s all a bit puzzling and confusing.

"Even if Scott Bessent were to continue Yellen’s policy, she has timed it such that the reverse repo facility is drained—the Treasury no longer has much ability to neuter the Fed’s balance sheet shrinkage.” Dan Oliver, Myrmikan Capital
Why would they possibly need armored cars while going to and from airports and in and out of cities in America?
By any measure, the current US fiscal situation is highly distressed. Total public debt outstanding exceeds $36 trillion, double what it was just a decade ago and more than 120% of gross domestic product (GDP). Annual interest expense is set to surpass a staggering $1 trillion. The federal deficit was $1.8 trillion for fiscal year 2024, or 6.4% of GDP. Respected analysts argue the US is already in fiscal dominance, defined as “an economic condition that occurs when a country’s debt and deficit levels are sufficiently high that monetary policy can no longer effectively control inflation.”

I’m not a WEF fan but they might be right about this:
