I suppose if I polish up the old toot-thought up; what I’m more trying to say is - how would a community of fractured wargaming types all collectively agree and compile a list for something like this, something that was a gold standard of “this’ll get you going”.

You’d get a wee list of say 10/20 of these bots, and you’d instantly get a feed of anything interesting happening across Hobbyodon. Watch me go down a mental rabbit hole 😂😂😂

This and the FediFollows are great resources. I suppose what I’m driving at taking another step that is a low hassle and a one stop starting point. One thing that I’d be keen on it being is an opt-in list.

It's hardly interactive with itself. If I wanted to get attention from the several minipainting instances I'd best create several accounts and post to them all. I do put hashtags under all my Pixelfed posts, but this helps nothing for reach.

Reach issue may be down to the pixelfed being on a server that’s not federated (no one follows you from say Warhammer.Social) so no one would see the posts.
I think pixelfeds integration was a little ropey at the start but is better now. I’ll give you a follow, and check if that brings your post into the timelines..

This is a behaviourist perspective rooted in me, that people are a bit lazy, and if you’re not invested you’ve a limited well of effort you’ll expend on something your curious about.
So if there was something like a CSV upload that would give a newbie say 50 accounts to follow, and get them settled, would be less effort (maybe..) for the user than following the suggested lists click by click.

The nature beast means we’re all a bit fractured across, dice.camp, warhammer.social, gamepad.club, wargamers.social, many tabletops.somethings. That’s quite good in many ways, one downside is when you land it’s hard to get your bearings and see there’s lots happening on the #Hobbyverse.
So, after that daft bit of driving yesterday I managed a bit of a Hobby Session with my one of my best pals. I can safely say that that Hobby is the best medicine.
