Aside from the Threads launch taking the air out of the room for awhile, until follower graphs, communities, and other service improvements are made, the service will toddle along.
I don't think opening up will cause it to grow exponentially, that inflection point has passed.
Oh, and because of the investors, there will be ads in the future, bet on it.
