Light Mode Or Dark Mode?

I was just having a moment because someone I know well has been steadily building and improving on the same app for over a year, now, and it keeps getting incrementally better and closer to a full application (and no bugs, will Nostr miracles never cease), but his stuff gets no play because everyone is busy whining to Trending Devs And Famous People that their app is broken again or that their vibe-coded whatever is acting erratically, and it's like

It's brutally difficult to get users, on here, unless you have a gigantic npub, or you have OpenSats marketing for you, which limits the options users have and sort of defeats the whole purpose of interoperability. If it were possible to get users onto different systems, there would be more incentive to build different systems, targeting different user bases.

I had written a whole essay, but I’ll just say this instead:

It’s okay to acknowledge the long-term impact our households had on us growing up. That doesn't mean we don't love our parents - it’s not about blame or resentment. It’s about understanding.

Most parents did their best with what they knew - some were flawless, some were so caught in their own pain that they passed it on, even when they didn’t mean to. And some, did things no child should ever have to go through.

It can be complicated, but is real, and it all shaped us.

At bird's eye view, I remember my childhood to be happy, but don't start digging! 😂

I’ve heard people say, “becoming a parent helps you fix yourself.” And sure, for some, that’s true. But in the wrong hands, that approach doesn’t work. I know from experience not everyone changes when they have children.

One changes, one becomes better, when one wants to change - no more, no less.

Bottom line is, we didn’t choose the environment we were raised in, but now we get to choose differently for ourselves, our surroundings, and those who'll come after us - acknowledging that impact and taking the hang of it, is a big part of it 💜

I am about halfway to my final form as a short, plump, tanned Morticia Addams (so, nothing like Morticia Addams), but anyways, I washed my hair and it turned into big ringlets and looked really pretty, so I wanted to share, but my hair is so dark that you could hardly see anything because it was like my hair bent light and warped space time, so I fiddled with the lighting and now I look like I'm from Iceland, but whatever. You had to be there, I guess, but the ringlets were real, no cap.

You can be logged into the client with one npub and the signer with another.

Some clients don't check, when you switch and write. So, the app shows you displayed as one, and then you publish with the other and it's like woops.

I hate that I can publish from an npub I'm not logged into.
