Nostur in 2025
This was the 3rd year of building Nostur, there were 10 App Store releases and more than 75 TestFlight updates.

Whats next in 2026 and on?
As we will see more AI garbage everywhere, the internet will become fake and generated, on nostr too, but here we will also have the ability to ignore it and build real relations. Our algorithms don't prioritize views for advertisers so we can focus on what is authentic.
Nostur will be here to help achieve that, using individual webs of trust, reputations, private nostr, and more. Authenticity will become a focus.

Big update for Mac and many improvements on iPhone/iPad
This is what I’m sending to sign and what aegis receives (1st screenshot from aegis log) and this is what comes back signed with p tags removed, (and different id also or the sig wouldn’t be valid).
Something odd is going on, not sure if its Nostur or Aegis. Could it be the Aegis is sending signed events back with p tags removed nostr:npub179e5zckwq9vqsenc8ha9qv7p9vxwq20cq526ac67prts8kc4khmqu50zj8 ?

Same as the relays and mute list. But there is a toggle on contact feed settings to make a list public, then it will be shared as a Follow Pack.

I’m still not sure how exactly this can happen but the only thing I can think of is a buggy or rogue relay sending you events with wrong ids. If you turn signature verification on and it stops happening then that’s probably it.
Yes, it checks reactions of people you follow. Same with the Hot feed
When other kind-1 apps also add kind 20 support your posts would show up there against your intention so you would need to find another solution not based on kind numbers.

This actually solves that (“why is my picture post not shown to some and not others”). Kind 1 clients already have to deal with pictures in text anyway.

Why should I not change all publishing of Picture/Olas events in Nostur from kind 20 to kind 1 with k-tag 20. And same question with Yak/Voice Messages from 1222 to kind 1 with k-tag 1222
Seems better for network effect and backwards compatibility, what am I missing?

Not DMs, only public voice messages, play + record.
it adds the label if both the following is true:
- you are not following the contact
- it has a 80% similar name and profile picture as someone you already follow
Managing relays is like configuring SMTP servers, I want to hide or automate it as much as possible, eventually. In Nostur you could use Relay Connection stats to kind of find out who is using which relays, I wrote how I use that here: nostr:nevent1qqspmnx62g439w7mnr7aqr6s56y6e9l08th0u60e2elglx2h49sn0rgzyzd7p0swvnfc52dfemy6tj80tkrnc2l62d32fd2cmf0ldx7rewupuqcyqqqqqqgpzamhxue69uhkvctzd9skutnwdaehgu339e3k7mgpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqtj3lw2 additionally when you use Relay Autopilot you shouldn't have to worry about any of this but it won't really work unless most other clients also use it (outbox) properly.
