Great podcast, thanks Danny. One aspect of AI risk I still don't understand: if AI becomes extremely intelligent in a variety of ways (AI-->AGI-->super intelligence), why does it follow that it would ever come up with its own goals that weren't given to it by humans? Why would an AI that's good at every board game (more general) be more likely to come up with its own goals than an AI that's just good at chess (more narrow)? Could be something I'm missing but I don't see how becoming more generalized makes AI more likely to have its own agency.

Great ep Karak, I love the game names discussion. If you find this comment and claim the podcast on Fountain I'd be happy to tip you some bitcoin. I need to help you make up for the 1000 bitcoin you sold back in the day lol

I got an email that I have to update my iOS to be able to continue using Strike but my phone is too ancient to do that. And I'd rather continue stacking sats than buying a new phone πŸ˜† Thanks for being a man of the people!

Loved hearing Lyn talking about some of the risks with MSTR and what she thinks about the mnav. Toward the end I felt like she had to explain basic economics to this guy when talking about stablecoins. He was basically saying if I go to the grocery store and buy eggs there's no new demand for eggs because the grocery store already owned them

Great job Natalie! Hilarious that his best argument for gold is that bitcoin is down in the short term XD

Thanks for the insight about the blocksize wars and how the core devs weren't the ones that made the segwit2x update. The analogy of FOSS devs as artists was really helpful too. Loving the pod, keep it up Jack, Bill, and Dylan!

Good morning! Loved Damus but actually deleted it recently to cut out social media phone scrolling in my life. Using Coracle now on PC thanks nostr:nprofile1qyd8wumn8ghj7urewfsk66ty9enxjct5dfskvtnrdakj7qgewaehxw309a5x7ervvfhkgtnwdaehgu339e3k7mf0qyw8wumn8ghj76r0v3kxymmy9e3k7unpvdkx2tn5dahkcue0qqsf03c2gsmx5ef4c9zmxvlew04gdh7u94afnknp33qvv3c94kvwxgs34z6t2

We all benefit if you successfully shame Saylor into funding devs 🫑

I know you're calling him out and not explicitly expecting him to change. But I hope people at least start asking him about this now in interviews

Fr though I'm glad donating to devs is becoming more of a prominent talking point, and I appreciate how easy it is to do so through organizations like OpenSats

Elon is such a cuck. This happened with activists in Turkey a year ago when Elon first bought the company.

Makes me so bad that larpers like Breedlove pretend that Twitter is a free speech platform

Damn woke up too early to get zapped, then was working too damn hard to see this until now πŸ˜‰
