If you don’t know or can’t see it then nothing I say will convince you otherwise. Adding I have voted in every election since I was old enough to vote. Democrats neglect to send their candidates to smaller, currently so-called red states (lack of interest) and wonder why they don’t win. Absent EC, my vote is one of 300,000,000. Basically no value/no chance to make a difference. No reason to continue voting.

Do you live in a large city or a state with large population? Different perspective if you live in a small town or a state with a smaller population. Even after money is targeted to remediate the money/advantage gap it frequently gets diverted away from them to big cities/states with larger populations where big donors and a large voting pool exist. Electoral college was meant to be a political correction for lack of power.

Adding. Real life example. Small town asked the state for and was granted money to build the first and only swimming pool for their school. Money was shifted away at the last minute to build another very large pool for kids in the big city to specifically canoe in or something other than swimming.

Our inequality is rooted in the Constitution whose authors we inexplicably revere unquestioningly for their wisdom. They did what was right for them. It helped replace a monarchy with a constitutional aristocracy.
