My younger sister is taller than me with the attitude to match and I still call her my baby sis. Siblings are the best.
I’m generally a piece of shit but my one redeeming quality is love for children. Brings out the best.
From one of my favorite films by one of my favorite composers.

Love knee socks. Sometimes I’ll wear them underneath long pants when nobody will see just because I always feel sexy in em.
I knew a guy in college who kept a couple copies of Dostoevsky on his nightstand (in the same spot, untouched) so that whoever came to his home would think he was well-read and had good taste in literature. I was sadly one of the women who fell for this until two years later when I realized he was just another of the frauds that LA was teeming with.
Lesson learned: don’t judge a man by his book collection.
I’ve been spoon-fed Stoicism ever since I was old enough to comprehend language. I think I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the only way to have a bearable existence. It also aligns perfectly with Islamic philosophy; there’s nothing better for me to live by. nostr:note1hjwl2ppyhlgfdt5qqm564a8v0ex7qezfzq4ka92a4svjrtzhl5ns77p5pl
Is there a reason I’ve been getting spam text messages about bitcoin ever since I joined nostr? Same thing on WhatsApp, which I don’t even use.
Let me tell you something: the media, when reporting the Middle East, is at the height of its BS. Bullshitting on steroids. And for someone with no experience with the area, it’s easy to fall for it.
Dubai has great nightlife. Good combination of eastern and western culture. Good food, drinks, shopping, people, service, and entertainment.
Hellooooo! This is my millionth time on nostr but I’m glad to be here 💜
You can drink in Dubai, sweets. And for a bitcoiner who promotes the idea that media narratives are bullshit, I’m surprised to hear that from you.
Haven’t seen your account again until now, so glad to see your lovely face and posts :)
You’ve clearly never been to Dubai and seen the women there. They’re the epitome of the western concept of liberation.
And as far as Saudi goes, they’re evil in many ways, but women there are living mostly happy and healthy lives.
Can’t say the same for the men, particularly the poorer ones.
Also: Dubai is more ‘crypto bros’ and less ‘bitcoiners’, just saying 🙃
I don’t mean to offend. I’m not lying. It’s a true story. I was checking into a hotel called The Dominic. He was right beside me and said he was tired from a 14 hour flight. I asked from where. He said Dubai.
I said, “That seems like such a great place. A lot of bitcoiners seem to be moving there.”
He said: “It is extremely safe, but if you commit a crime, like stealing, it is very dangerous. They will either cut your hands off or kick you out of the country.”
I did not verify his story, but I promise, that is what he said. My wife nostr:npub1etcdje6hp2c8qtp5qt2scj439hrg2h4qvfgekxkqfpcgednrkryqskxwkr was with me for this story.
Not offended :) What he was describing is more Saudi Arabia, especially for non-citizens (although I will say, that’s why I’ve always felt safe visiting there) but the UAE is a bit different, and less “draconian” as people like to say. The first time I went to Dubai, it was remarkably westernized as well.
